What was killing me was that a few kids on youtube were posting shit like "Wow this game makes me want to join the military!" To which I responded, "well junior...you'll be disappointed by the fact that in real life...there's no reset button, game saves, or respawn points."

damn kids...no wonder the recruiters target the high schools as much as they do, can't blame em..that how I enlisted after graduation.

Yeah but it ain't modern day combat like CoD4. I hear its better if you have a Wii or something other than a mouse and keyboard PC.

+1. can't wait for COD: Modern Warfare 2. although i think they should do a Vietnam one. that's the only thing they haven't done. i just think the WWII stuff has been played out.

I think it would be veeeery hard to get a vietnam game accurate. There's been a few attempts but all of them failed miserably. I mean, most of the missions in vietnam were patrols that did nothing, bombing runs that practically hit nothing, taking hills with 100+ casualties that were turned back over the VC days later. 9 times out of 10 you won't even see the enemy before you get lit up.

And then at the end of the game, you'd have an ending like "Despite the war effort, and the brave men who died fighting for an impossible goal...the U.S. forces withdrew and it was all for nothing."

I think the game developers are waiting until the surviving vietnam vets croak before making such a game.

Not meaning to make a big deal out of it, but this is what would happen if they made a Vietnam game..and probably one based on the 2003 - present Iraq campaign
