They really aren't THAT different to each other. Sure there are some small differences between them (Saskatchewan is the most boring place on earth *lol*, and Alberta/B.C. are mountainous and beautiful), but that is very superficial. The lifestyles of the people, the culture (not including Quebec,) are very similar from one province to another.

You can't compare moving from Ontario to B.C. being anything like moving from Ontario to Japan. It's entirely different.

manitoba is heavy native influenced.
new brunswick is acadian.
the maritimes are like being on another planet.

laughing @ el freak spot on with Theresa contradicting herself.

For ppl who don't have a clue its best not to sugar coat things. If you must experience a different culture take a vacation. I especially liked Montreal, it has a very European feel.

I love how this guy asks Freak for more "details". Details on what? We're not going to hold your hand. All we can offer you is a swift kick in the right direction. Moving to another country won't make your life better unless your from Mexico.

Vacationing somewhere is nothing like living there.

I don't know about you, but I wouldn't personally move simply for a geographical change. Perhaps you have found that the cultural differences from province to province are significant - I personally have not (not including Quebec which I mentioned already) and many of the people I have met that also moved to AB from other provinces agree with me.

Meh. Maybe it's because I have experienced more drastic cultural differences (like the people who live in Haiti, or Jamaica), and use that as a gauge?

if you have money in the bank, one of your parents is a US citizen, or you own property...

you can consider the US.

Houston?! New York? I'm outraged!!! how dare you compare that shithole to one of the greatest cities in the world!..bahhh jason snap!

First of all Houstin is in the good ol' republic of Texas (a country of its own), it is the 4th largest city in the US after Chicago but don't let that fool you. Houston is more like a the southern capital of the U.S Attracting a majority of (yea, i'll use the term) mexicans.

Ok, New York City, if you have never been there is polar opposite. New York is very multi-cultural, diverse, educated, compelling, intense, luxurious, bohemian, it has a life of its own. you can't compare new york even with chicago and people love to compare them all the time.
