I was watching a thing on TV talking about the rise and expected quick fall of Twitter...using statistics. Over 60% of people who sign up for Twitter stop using it within 30 days. And within 60-90 days, that number grows bigtime....

...anyhow, it was talking about how analysts and all don't expect Twitter to be a huge hit for too long.

In line with my analysis. Twitter's market is limited. Its great for teeny boppper idol worshippers to have one extra attachment to their idol, and good for the narcissists who cant avoid themselves, and good for some industries for viral marketing purposes, its good for musicians/artists for promotion (only reason i'd join), other than that, its value is small compared to something like myspace or facebook which are far more dynamic in purpose and use. Also the Twitter interface is not appealing, surprised its gotten as big as it has with a rather bland and borderline confusing interface. But I guess people just cant get enough of connecting with others through a website. Outside of maybe Facebook and Myspace, I doubt this social networking culture will stand the test of time, people will start to get sick of it in the longrun and realise they need more real life and face to face interaction.
