Seeing it next Thursday. Never was a Star Trek fan but grew up watching it so I'll give it a shot.

Mother's Day weekend has foiled my attempts to donate money to the ST legacy. Maybe the following weekend!

I seen the premier last weekend. It was good. I give it a B+.

It was surprisingly decent.

Of course, there's some completely out of place and over-the-top action scenes with ridiculous CGI and some fair degree of dumbing down for the masses - but despite of it, it still manages to be somewhat clever and loyal to trek. Most of the actors do an amazing job of portraying the characters as they were in TOS down to very subtle mannerisms that only huge trek fans are going to pick up on. The movie is also filled with references and homages to other trek movies, series and books. It's like 2 hours of fan service and it makes it worth sitting through the cheesy space battles.

Seeing it tomorrow afternoon. Figure it'll save some of the rush and will also be matinee prices.

Cheesy...really?

That opening prologue was one of the finest space battles in any movie ever IMO.




In general...completely satisfied. Go see it.

Very much enjoyed the film.

Great fan service and it's a good introduction film for those who know nothing about Trek.
