However, the entrepreneur stated there would have to be significant changes to the sport before he would consider becoming involved. This will not be Branson's first foray into Formula One, having sponsored Eddie Jordan's team in 2002. Virgin Atlantic Japan have also backed former driver Takuma Sato, who just missed getting a full time ride with Toro Rosso this season.

I think it's fair within the rules, and the big teams like McLaren and Ferrari are just bitter because they were left behind in the big re-design.

^ They need to totally resurface the track with tarmac that won't break up after Friday practice if they have any hope of getting the race back.

They also need a race in the US to be packaged with it in order to make it cost-effective for the teams.

I would love to see F1 back in Montreal, but I don't think it'll happen in 2011.

I would also like to see Don Panoz do some more renovations to Mosport and have it host the F1 in alternating years with Montreal.

next year there are gonna be 3 new teams "including USF1" so who knows, they might push for the return of the indianapolis track in the season

I wonder if USF1 is gonna bring american auto makers in the sport too..
