I actually had both passes, went upstairs before pvd played and PATRICK M was playing, the terrace was pretty empty...headed back upstairs around 4am for like 5mins, pretty packed but whoever was DJing sucked, cause no one was dancing everyone was kind of just standing around, and I asked a couple of friends and said the vibe was like that the entire night. |
I had the combo pass also. It made it sooooooo easy to go back and forth! It was just a paper wristband (purple) that you showed at the stairs to be able to go from main room to terrace and back. They weren't letting anyone else up all night from the inside. I jumped up to the terrace at the very beginning to get some fresh air before PVD. Then I headed back down and caught the last bit of Edgar V. It was good, but not great. Took the tech guys forever to set things up for PVD. In fact, they had problems all night from what I remember. As previously mentioned, PVD did not disappoint. Started out banging, kept it going for a while, sprinkled in a little fluff, but kept the energy up afterwards. All in all, a great time. I thought it was especially nice all the extra room inside space. The back part was previously VIP last year, but was all open this year, as was the raised spot directly behind the dance floor.
Immediately after PVD finished, I rushed up to the terrace, barely breaking stride as they checked my wristband. I wanted to avoid any type of clusterf*ck that might accumulate near the stairs. My plan was to have a drink or two and just stay for a little bit. I wanted to catch some Dirty South, but he went on much earlier. I don't know about the vibe the rest of the night, but when I got up there the place was going off! Benassi was finishing up, and the crowd was loving it. Eventually Morillo got on (fantastic), followed later by Angello (kept the vibe going nicely). Needless to say, I stayed for a little longer than "a bit", limping out shortly after noon.
