oh they have quite the history too. i remember someone here on the boards posting about how aoki was up to his usual antics and he ended up spilling on farinas gear at some massive here in socal they played last year.
I was there and spoke to Farina.
Aoki and his crew rolled in like if they were running the place, they started swaping the tables and pushing mark around. Even Mark himself was going WTF? Because Aoki was going around with headphones on a chugging out of a Grey goose bottle. It even kind of made me mad on how they were like pushing Farina out, but he is a trooper and just rolled with the punches and just kept on going.
After they almost kicked Mark off stage i went and spoke to him, he was kind of pissed/bummed out the way they ran him off the stage. But he kind of just like blew it off and didn't make that big of a deal of it, he was pissed at Aoki and his crew but he just didn't care.

the ucsb(he's an alum) college girls at tonic on thursday nights when he plays there LOVE aoki.
So do the rehab crew at the hard rock.
I havent conducted a survey or study, but i would venture to guess that not too many Ta's go to rehab in vegas for the music.
and there will be a group of people who have never set foot in an edm club, yet there you have aoki lovers and haters in the same place listening to the same music... wonder why
i can handle an aoki at an edm club(wouldnt pay to see him) or aoki at a pool party and i'll have fun either way.
so should you!
Looking forward to the next hard rock pool party
San Diego's is called intevention and was OFF the hook last sunday!

We need some dj's to chime in here. There's a lot of talk here about the tracks. You obviously need a good track selection, but as it was said in this thread, we all pretty much go to the same places to get them. As a dj it's about the constuction of a set. The programming of the mixing and tracks to create an experience. Carisma is a great thing, but means nothing if you're music sucks. I wouldn't love someone like Zabs any less if he just stood there. And even someone like Glaude, at least has dj skills and a decent track selection. One of the things we pride ourself on in the EDM scene and especially on this board is having good taste in music and djs...although our opinions may vary. He's done something right to get to where he is...but it's not his musical talent. And his carisma...you can stick a cd in of badly mixed Justice and Boyz Noize remixes and have any drunken asshole in a sparkle shirt jump up and down on stage if you want to be entertained. Fact is anyone with taste would lose interest when the music selection jumps around while being mixed poorly. And the first time he played at Vanguard, he played no less than 4 Justice remixes. I mean come on man.

Agreed. But there are those that just download the top 10 every week. Although I get pretty much all my stuff from trackitdown.com. Check it out if you haven't yet. Great site.

and a bunch of links to crap sites. Unless I need to look further in to these crap sites, Is that what your talking about?
