But here's an odd thing. I downloaded a copy before it was released, and when the album came out, I bought that straight away. However, the odd thing is, is that although it's the same tracklisting, the sound of the tracks side by side are for the most part, different. The last track 'Time Of Your Life' was completely different on the two versions I have. Can anyone shed some light as to why this is? For the record (no pun intended) I prefer the pre-release copy I downloaded |
actually, a couple songs were mixed differently in the pre-release: nothing, spirit, turning corners, way i'm feelin', and as you mentioned time of your life. the final release had much more prominent beats, and was a better mix in almost every regard imho.

I love Way Out West. I've contemplating doing a mix with nothing but my favorite Way Out West and Hybrid tracks/remixes. Maybe a couple other classiscs thrown in. But that would be a fun listen. |
James Warren at Hybridized has done 3 nice tributes in case you hadn't heard. Here's the latest: http://www.hybridized.org/sets/549 (the first installments will be added shortly, and he has the intention to do a fourth soon).
