But but but... they stink and drool!!

And that kind of delusion is in no way typical. First, there is no sign of a malfunctioning short term memory, and the patients I've met were able to recall the past quite clearly. Secondly, Slylee refers to her weirdness while she was drinking. If she had Wernicke back then it would show severe symptoms today, but no word of that.

You're wrong. End of story.

If you believe that then you're the one who has Wernicke-Korsakoff!

my dad's mom lives in the same house she lived in when my dad was born and she hasn't changed ONE thing...it's so old and dirty i can't even stay there, it's gross. i talked my dad into paying for a weekly maid service when i was there this past weekend so now it should be a little nicer for her. i spent the whole mother's day last weekend cleaning her house for her because she's too old to get around and do the really good, in-depth cleaning. god it was so gross but it made me realize how much they need stuff like that. it must suck getting old.

my dad wants to gut a lot of the house and put in new stuff but she's so stubborn and practical she's like, "what do i need a new kitchen for! that one is fine" we're like "uh, it's 40 years old and falling apart?" lol

i don't have any grandparents left, but they all played a huge part in bringing me up properly and teaching me values. My italian grandfather (who died this year at 92) spoiled the shit out of me, because i was the first born male. When i lost my first tooth, the tooth fairy left me 250$ lol. After that my parents always had to stop me from taking a hammer to my mouth until i was 25 and was finally told that the tooth fairy was not real.

i know. i friggin love old people. i don't think a lot of the younger generations appreciate them, and they should. just listening to their stories from back in the war days, etc... it's really cool.

Young people really don't, and it's like they forget they will be old one day too.

all of my grandparents was/is based in syria.

my father's mother passed on in 1982, my father's father passed on in the 70's.

my mother's mother passed on in 1991, i met her a couple of times but i have no clear memory of who she was. the last time i met her was three days before she died in her sleep, she was even then in a very fragile state.

my mother's father still lives but he is in his 80's. met him a numerous times, he is a naturopath and fisherman. his hearing became quite shoddy so talking to him is a task and on the phone it's quite impossible as you have to shout alot.

It is because young people today have it a lot easier than they did. Imagine living through wars, depressions and so on. A simple loaf of bread was a luxury, today if a little punk doesn't get an ipod for christmas they act like it is an unequivocal display of not being loved.

fucking sense of entitlement people piss me off.

*looking straight at barbina*
