Yeah, $ 1000 is what will let you live comfortably. $ 2000 - 2500 and you are a king. A small car will cost roughly $ 4000 upwards. Higher end cars start from $ 20000 up. Buying a house will cost a fortune thought. A small 2 bedroom apartment will cost around $80,000-$100,000.

But earning $1000 a month, converted into Indian currency is beyond the reach of the common guy. You can translate that to roughly $ 50,000 - $ 60,000 per year in the US, in terms of value. $ 2-2.5K is equivalent to making about $100,000 per year in the US.

The cost of living usually goes up with the economy.

I'd look at Eastern Europe, places like Montenegro or some of the other new countries in the Balkans. Granted safety can be a concern in some of them. My dad went to Montenegro for a few weeks a couple years ago though and said its a wonderful country.

I wouldn't be so sure about that. Croatia is fucking expensive for its standard.

montenegro is a bit cheaper then cro, and if you live in lets say UK or USA you have way bigger monthly income then you would have for the same job you have here

so if you move from london to podgorica, you would have a nice life for a while, but if you dont find a damn good job there, it would be the same like everywhere else.

Exactly. But it's not quite easy working in one country and living in another, now is it?
Although I've heard of people who work hard for 6 months in some country where they're paid very good, then they move back to cheap country and live like kings for 6 months before returning to previously mentioned job.

The scientist cannot capture the whole cosmos in thought. In his mind he makes a kind of microcosm, which we see as an analogue of the cosmos. In this way we try to get a feeling for the whole. The artist, I suppose, gets a feeling for the whole some other way.”
