last few times I've seen her she's not been all that....
but Rolando, I've seen him quite a few times, and he's absolutely fucking rocked every time.

Joris Voorn is one of my favorite DJ's, but I've seen him quite a few times and though he has never disappointed me, I'd like to take the opportunity to see other DJ's, like Rolando, who I have never seen before (but heard great stories about).

On another note.. isn't it kinda weird that we all use the word "see" instead of "hear"?

I've seen Magda only once, on a Minus night, and didn't like it that much. All DJ's took turns every few tracks and Magda really kicked it down a notch every time she went behind the decks. But judging from a range of youtube clips and for instance, the Droog roofparty set with all the Click Box tunes.. that'd totally be something I enjoy.

Trentemoller has never really been my cup of tea.. maybe if I'd listen to more of his sets to get a better understanding what he plays.

It seems more like a case of which dj's not to see, I wouldn't go and see Marc Romboy. Only ever heard average reports.
Apart from that, just go with the flow of the day. Festivals turn to shit if you try and cram too much in.

in three weeks, I'll go to Awakenings Festival over here in Holland. I know my way around in the techno scene fairly well, but this year's lineup is huge, and while I used to be able to create a planning throughout the day, it's really hard this time. Therefore I'd like to reach out to all the elFreaks, Bas' and Clovis' (and others of course) on MD, of whom I think their input on TA has greatly influenced my taste in techno/techhouse/ethnic tacos.

Long story short: here's the lineup. Who should I go see? First two stages are open air, the others are tents. I omitted the schranz stage, because, in all fairness, I hate schranz

LOL, of course...I just didn't know he was behind Aztec Mystic until you mentioned it.

I haven't seen him live, but his EM from a few months back was horrible. I downloaded it with high expectations based on the Systematic label and some of the productions I have heard from him. Mainly "Elif" and the remix he did of "Kassiande". Fuck, was I wrong.

He drops a lot of bit tunes as opposed to mostly fillers so it's like just straight up hipster techno bangers throughout. I think I had a set but I don't know where it went...

I was there in the crowd. And I have that set, and a few others. Sure not amazing but is a much better DJ than most of the boring big name techno jocks.

Thanks for the link. I skimmed through the set quite quickly, but I didn't like it that much.

Besides, Trentemoller is also playing at 13:00, which is making the decision whether to go or not go see him, a lot easier
