Hey guys,
We are all Electronic Music Fans after all.
For me, Paul is going the right track with this album as it have the progressive feel with some electro touches. (For many fans, 1999 was his golden era. IMO, his progressive sound has really matured after Bunkka, Greatwall, Creamfields and this album is the follow-up with that style although more electro at some parts.)
Don't be distracted by his other works (soundtrack work, Madonna...). I think his other works let more people know more about DJ and show what DJs can do.
(When you like to test something different about Oakenfold, try out the score on Vexille soundtrack (Orchestra + Electronic). If you still want something Trancey/Dance but on his soundtrack work, try out his compositions on Nobel Son.)
When he is making trance he is still good.
If you still like Oakenfold set with 2nd hour of banging tunes.
Try this...
http://radiomix.perfectorecords.net/ (7 pages of sets with Full 2-hour
of his earlier Perfecto Podcast sets, I think TAs will like the 2nd hours)
Enjoy your journey,
Edwin-L
