Ecotourism in Napier Uni, Edinburgh.

Oceans & Climate in Liverpool

Oceanography/Marine Science at Plymouth.

Personally, I would recommend eco-tourism. Because the oceans are gonna be pretty fucked from pollution in 10 years time!

Edit: Yeah, cool, South Africa? Nice!

Do ecotourism - sustainable tourism initiatives in the developing world are the next big thing.

this is what i call a non-degree; it's like going to uni to be a naturopath or some bs like that. if you're going to go to uni, do an actual profession.

these sound better, just make sure they are actually a "bachelor of science (majoring in xyz)" and not some random qualification that the university made up, such as "bachelor of teh oceans mang".

if you have a solid grounding in science, your qualifications will be seen as a superset of that ecotourism crap and will give you far more options for work. a similar example would be if you wanted to go into computer networking. a "bachelor of IT" is not a profession, it's a dud degree that all the retards who weren't good at mathematics do. a "bachelor of engineering (majoring in telecommunications)" is the degree you would want. makes sense?

Another pro tip: once you have settled in, try taking some courses as an external student. If you have self-discipline, you will realise going to uni is a complete waste of time and you are better off studying at home.

I haven't been to uni since first semester, except when I had exams or mandatory attendance. I have a distinction average GPA, thus far. My grades actually went up when I started enrolling off-campus.

No way, man. Not me. Two or three upper-level finance classes per day were more than enough for me. I liked my classes spread out over four days.

It's a rapidly growing field too - I know a lot more students in my grad program that started taking tourism management courses in conjunction with sustainable development stuff in order to be marketable. There's money to be made as environmental awareness is catching on more quickly in parts of the global south than here. I would see if the program offers coursework in the human development side as well; tourism programs that can be ecologically sound and indigenous-friendly will be major sustainable win in the next decade.

And... most of it is happening in places that fashion themselves as some version of paradise.

If you want to be a fish, go into bioengineering. You can also sell gills to babies so they don't drown so easily.
