I think this is the ultimate question that's getting easily overlooked amidst all the sexual and infidelity overtones. How did they obtain them, and from whom? I can think of only two possibilities - unauthorized access, or official access (i.e. something like say NSA interception). It's highly likely that it's the former, considering any determined hacker can crack into a Yahoo or Google account, or perhaps his wife or someone close got a hold of his password and broke in. That's much more easily explained versus the possibility of the latter.
