When I went to Dorsia in NYC, the service was not particularly bad, it's just that the waiters and maitre d were quite snobby. The place was also filled with snobby nouveau riche people. The food wasn't anything great either. Large plates, small proportions. What's worse is that I had to make a reservation for a table.
The Waverly Inn on the other hand, was a good place. Very sophisticated ambience and the waiters know how to handle VIPs. Food wasn't that great, but I guess you pay for the atmosphere. The Maitre D was especially great when I was reserving my table. (friends told me they laugh at you when you just try to walk in with no reservation) When I ate there, Mariska Hargitay from Law and Order SVU was there. |
