I have the SE because it was the only affordable non-Windows Mobile phone I could find that had tri-band UMTS (850/1900/2100 MHz; my N95-3 has just 850/1900 and the BlackBerry doesn't have 3G at all). I have the BlackBerry for typing & calls and N95-3 for video & GPS (BB does not let you download maps to memory card and use w/o mobile data).

As for the SIM cards, I have four US (2 used almost exclusively in Canada to save on roaming charges), three UK (again, different purposes), and the remainder are international SIMs, which have free incoming calls in a number of countries.

Whoa... isn't that, you know, expensive?

Not really considering I got the BB subsidised from T-Mobile and the N95-3 when it was already 13 months old (hence a much cheaper price than when at début).

As for the SIMs, I wouldn't want to end up like the countless iPhone users that come back from trips with data roaming bills in the thousands. So, it makes sense to have multiple SIMs for when you travel.

Exactly! That says it all rigth there.

My new cell is a smartphone (QWERTY), and of late I've really been missing my previous regular cellphone for texting purposes!

T9, you're the most!
