yes this is true. but for the purpose of them wanting to know how to "layer" i decided to make 3. plus im not really fond of 3xOsc as i stated in my post.

that was a shitty FLP done in like 10 mins anyway. I'll get up a better one soon done with Sylenth because sylenth is my baby.

However there is an advantages AND disadvantages of layering different sounding basses. it all depends on what sound you're after.

Sure, but layering something that is meant to be mono is very tricky to pull off. What I usualy do is split the bass into a high and low halves. Low is pretty much unedited. While the high end has massive effects. Here is a clip of the bass I mentioned earlyer. Its just ABL2. It has guitar rig with 3 dist plugins, and a reverb on the high end. The low end has a bass boost.

I won't bother reading every reply is this thread. But seriously.. Another hardware vs. software thread?...

This useless discussion will never end, will it? When will people realize that software CAN sound just as good as hardware. Yes, there will always be the hardware-fans bitching about that's the only way to go pro (which is BS). There is PLENTY of "pro artists" out there who use mainly/only software and are on top of the league, so please, give me a break.

Yes, some hardware synths have a distinctive sound that might be hard to emulate with software. But still, that doesn't mean that it's automatically more Pro.

If an amateur gets a few hardware synths, it will still sound amateur and crap if he doesn't know how to use them correctly. But if a "Pro" make a track, he's got the knowledge to make good sounding track regardless if it's software or hardware.

Good music is still good music, so why even care? Most persons out there won't even hear if it's software or hardware anyway.

I already posted the Airbase tutorial. Robby's response was that he thought the tune sounded "amateurish." He hasn't yet posted up which tracks he thinks have a "professional" mid-bass.
