I use to hate it, But I had this girlfirend who loved to go see musicals and stuff, Like Les Misrables (Spelling?) and stuff like Nutcrackers, Or whatever, So after seeing those and many other plays numerous times, I grew immune to it, And when I was bored during the plays, I would just close my eyes and listen to the music and relax

OMG, YES!!!! It's all about Aaron Copland!! Check out his Appalachian Spring...aahhh...and Martha Graham complimented the piece so well with her choreography!!

Yes, I'm a huge classical music fan! Used to be a dancer doing the whole classical ballet thing, dreamed of dancing with ABT...then moved into modern. Got friend to choreograph a piece to a track off of Oakenfold's Swordfish album LoL!

Oh yes, do not forget about Stravinsky, he has some mad tunes!!

I got into trance cuz its the electronik genre that's closest to classical music, melody-wise. Other genres just sound like pots and pans. I love piano music and symphonies. My favourite symphony is Edward Elgar - Nimrod. Its epic, its grande, and it has an absolutely beautiful melody. I always thought that it'd be such a powerful trance song, like Barber's Adagio for Strings...just waiting for someone to remix it If you love uplifting trance, i highly recommend you give Nimrod a listen

And for some newer classical stuff, Vanessa Mae - Classical Gas is awesome

I don't mind classical music, but I don't particularly listen to it. But I LOVE classical beats in trance or trance remixes of classical music.

Ah yes....Love classical!
I used to play in a 100+ piece concert band.

With the right piece of music, what a rush!!!!!

My favorite is large philhormonic pieces and my absolute favorite living composer is Bill Brown

Now you're probably asking yourself, ok, who's that?

This is the man responsible for a lot of movie and game soundtracks like:
- Warcraft series
- Clive Barker's Undying
- All the Tom Clancy games (Rouge Spear, Ghost Recon, etc)
- Quake III
- Return to Castle Wolfenstein

- Ali
- The Columbia/TriStar Logo music
- Any Given Sunday

And he's only 33!!!!

I highly, highly recommend going to his >> Music Sample Page <<.
You won't be dissappointed...

No no no..... Those are not the same Adagio.. Adagio for Strings is by Barber, that's why Orbit called it "Barber's Adagio for Strings."

It was funny, this year in band we played Adagio for Strings and Pavane for an Infante Defunte, two songs that were remixed by Orbit and Corsten.

We also played a piece by Mozart, symphony in g minor (I think)... WOW... what a piece, it's incredible.

I also love the Queen of the Night Aria from Mozart's Magic Flute (for those of you that are into opera). It is the most incredible vocal piece I've ever heard... extremely high! What I found interesting was that the singer for Andain (Summer Calling) is actually an opera singer, and she can sing that aria (an amazing achievement, trust me).

In terms of game music, try Dungeon Siege (it's a new game, a cross of Diablo and Baldur's Gate). The piece that's starts playing at the beginning of the game when you go in the forest is really really good.
