Look in all seriousness, dress is the least of my concerns when hiring the person unless they totally fuck that aspect up. Just wear a regular traditional suit ... nobody is going to hire you based on fashion alone so there's no need to accessorize or shit like that.

Agreed, I got the job, and my outfit was nothing too fancy or audacious...something tells me they cared more for my energy, desire to work for the company, enthusiasm towards building customer confidence in the product and services at hand, etc., etc. You'd have to be a complete idiot to really fuck up the fashion aspect so much as to turn the interviewer off entirely before you even speak.

Blue was the way I went, and it worked. It definitely helped, too, that Chase's main colors are blue and black, which were the colors of my shirt and pants. My jacket was more of a greyish color, but it didn't matter, I won the job and the fashion that was involved in the interview either didn't matter or did the trick.

Ha! Actually the tie I wore was badass. Black with small white dots...sounds retarded in words, but it's a slick piece of apparel. My great aunt gave it to me after my great uncle passed away, she said it was expensive as hell.

Thank you! I appreciate it! I didn't have much going for me, but I guess my first impression was a good one.

Word out to those that feel they aren't qualified for what they want to do...this was a personal banking position at one of the country's largest banks. I don't have a finance degree, and although I have plenty of experience in retail, I have next to NONE in sales. Yet I got a job in a finance-related position in sales. Just smile, be confident. And the rest takes cares of itself.
