I truly do love fucking around on the internet, whether it be for actual useful purposes, or just posting on forums, doing Facebook, or MSNing with friends. I do sometimes find it hard to tear myself away from it, but; conversely, I never even think about it when I'm away from it/doing other shit.

Half hour in the morning, half hour in the evening, maybe a half hour over my lunch break if I'm not leaving the office. I check my work email pretty compulsively after hours and over the weekends, and I'll usually at least glance at what's going on in the cor. When classes are in session I usually check less - until it comes time to procrastinate on papers at least.

No more procrastinating on papers for me. I finally found my sure fire method to getting high A papers, and I actually enjoy being immersed in those projects.
Funny though, I still always make time for TA. It's MSN/chatting that I have to cut myself off from.

Yeah same here. But something just switched last year. Perhaps all the late nights/early mornings feeling like shit and saying to myself "never again" finally took their toll. I think also acheiving academic success and becoming a leader among my peers was a great motivator to change my ways permanently.
It truly is easier and less stressful to just do the work and not leave it till the last minute.

I have a shit GPA and poor work ethic, yet all of the good students work for free while I get paid internships...

In my field grades are cool, but having your name published in peer reviewed journals is even better.
