they would also have to compete with Six Flags Darien Lake which is a larger park chain than Paramount parks.

I only wish that Busch would build a park on the TO Islands.. heh now wouldn't that be something .. :]

I'm actually surprised that none of the other big chains (ie: Busch, Cedar Fair, Six Flags) have tried to put in a new park in the TO area...it just seems like the market would *easily* be able to sustain a couple of mega parks. Ditto for Montreal.

The only thing I've been able to come up with is the weak loonie, it'd take longer to start making money but christ, Canada is *very* underrepresented by larger theme parks...

i know for a fact that Americans seem a lot more accustomed to long driving road trips. the prospect of 5-6 hours in a car just scares some of my friends which is too bad..

i'm guessing that Cedar Fair and Six Flags won't put a park up here because we're so close to both Darien Lake and Cedar Point (which is about the distance from here to Montreal). Our only hope is Busch, but it doesn't look like itz gonna happen any time soon since attendance at Wonderland I heard has been on the decline lately. It's their own fault too with successive new 'CNE' type rides for the past few years...
