My ASIO settings are fine with all 3 spectrasonics stuff running, its just the major effects i use that chew up everything else.

I can run the spectrasonics stuff on their own at 256 buffer with no problems, 7ms out, 7 ms in, which is great but no good with other hogs.

How big are the patches? I need 34gb to install right, then how much do I have to download?

I'd imagine they would be small because it won't actually be samples, just synth/bank patches.

Fuck, finally finished installing after about 4 hours. Loving it so far but the synth patches are still demos.

How do I apply the patches? Just copy/paste to the right folder?

Ok, this thing is insane! I will freely admit I only tried it on headphones yesterday and was just mucking around but I just hooked it up to my monitors and...wow. My house is shaking

The bass recreations of the Waldorfs, MS20, Juno and more are fantastic. Not sure if there's even any need for one of the hardware bass synths when this does such an amazing job.

Must buy imho.

I have to agree with Fledz, Trillian has made me completely re-think my bass creation tools.

I particularity love the fact that you can have say an MS20 wave form then using the synthesis parameters tweak the hell out of it.

and as i am now getting lazy in my old age and cant really be bothered synthesizing things from scratch (in my own music making that is) havign such good platforms to start from then tweaking them is a god send.

again a must have synth in my opinion for bass.

MArk

I haven't had too much of a chance to go in depth, but what have you found to be the best "droning" patch? Something like the low end in this track from 4:12 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1U1cNZK7du8

Just watched the videos on this, some of the sounds are unbelievable, really thinking about pulling the trigger on this as im going 64bit soon so should be able to run it without any hassle

Any further opinions on it now that its out a while??

p.s. that guy Eric Persing can really show it off!

I scored this for free at NAMM, and I'm loving it...It is a hog though, so I make sure that my DAW is idling before I open up an instance, or the interface of an existing instance.

I got it for Christmas and I think it's awesome, particularly for the acoustic and fretless basses. The standard and slap/funk electric basses are great as well, but bass is my primary instrument, so I usually just record myself rather than use Trilian for live bass parts. The synth basses are very good as well (both samples and synthesized). Overall, it's a great package with very good samples, and I highly recommend it for a dedicated bass instrument. Also, if you happen to have Omnisphere, the Trilian samples are loaded into the STEAM library, so you can actually use Trilian's library in Omni - a very nice bonus IMO.
