I was at a friend's last night and she has a Samsung and a Sony. She said the Sony is louder, but the Samsung has a better picture.

this is the same issue im having, im leaning toward the Sony, most of my hardware is sony, and they work good together.....

Sony now produces panels with Sharp.

EDIT: I am not personally a fan of the 120/240hz TV's, they look weird. I am with bcope on the motion of plasma's. I was watching a Samsung plasma on the weekend, and it was smooth, crisp, and the colours were incredible.
