Apollo is healthy depending on what you get, and WAY better than OG, imo. i always went with the horiatiki salata and dolmathes. yeah, if you're going there for a hamburger and fries, there's no point in saying it's healthy. their fries with feta are pretty good, though.
this thread is making me hungry. |
i don't like apollo at all. all i've had there was a burger, and it was fucking meh. i can only handle greek food on occasion though.
and i dunno if you understand m, we were BROKE broke. like, peanut butter sandwiches ONLY-type broke there was a whole week where all i had to eat was eggs, bread, and potatoes. i ate variations of eggs for every meal.. fried eggs and potatoes, french toast, fried eggs and toast, egg sandwiches, etc. my cholesterol must've skyrocketed that week. *vomits*

i hear ya. i'm telling you though, you CAN eat good even if you're really broke. take for example my dinner last night...
juice of half a lemon
1 egg
big handful of fresh parsley
put that all in a mini blender and pour it over pasta while still on the stove, stirring it and letting it thicken before you serve it. sprinkle on some parmesan cheese (or fresh-grated romano if you're feeling baller) and you're good to go!
yeah, there's no meat but you get the vitamin C from the lemon, protein from the egg, vitamins from the parsley (you can use any fresh herb really), and the carbohydrates in the pasta fill you up. it's simple and delicious, and proabably doesn't cost more than $1.50 for one serving.
