He did? Damn, he didn't play when Richie was here in Toronto on that tour.

I would have to suggest a few DJ / producers who I think would be perfect for a warm sunny day, just like Joris Voorn last year:

Ramon Tapia
Hermanez
Tigerskin
Enzelkind
Jerome Sydenham
Olivier Koletzki
Rodriguez Jr. live

just to name a few...

..oh and a Cadenza label showcase day with Reboot, lucinano, thomas melchior live etc... (maybe the mutek piknic?)

i'd suggest 1 day of trance, another for minimal, another electro, psy, prog, and so on... it would bring a lot of new crowd and would be a lot different from the previous years...

piknic already stated that they would never book trance.

why?

because it is shit and the people that like it have funny shaped heads.

My friends and I are big fans of his prods too, I think I have 90% of his tracks.

Yes he does a live act. Saw this video on youtube a while back and I've been wanting to book him ever since. He's from france or belgium though.. if piknic doesn't book him, I will personally try to organise an event and show this live act. His sound is so smooth and melodic, perfect for a day time event! For sure he would make a killing at piknic.

For those who don't him, check out the following tracks:
Soledad
1977
lila
Rubbo Swiggo
Chicky Chicky
Kids of Hula
Pandora
Esperanza

edit: mixes available on his FB page :
http://www.facebook.com/thejuniorbasement?ref=mf

So yeah, Rodriguez Jr is on top of my wishlist for piknic :-)

Michel once said to me: All we can give them, is maybe a half day of trance, that's it.

But seriously, keep trance out of Piknic.

Oh, and also, Kraftwerk.

Because all the other names mentionned in this thread are there because of them
