having spent over 15 hours in Live Midi editor yesterday alone, I have to strongly disagree. Actually, I can't think of a tool more ill-equipped for the task at hand than Live. I love proggy to death but midi facility in live sucks soo much ass, It should be classified as a deep colon cleansing apparatus.
Who needs quantization for anything over 1/32? you can't even paint a drum roll in the damn thing without resorting to some trickery. Shifting midi around is also an excercise in futility if you're not precise with the mouse. Over all, it's like trying to chop someone in ms paint instead of Photoshop - it is crude and takes a lot of trickery AND TIME to get things done. Looks like I'll need to drop my cubase back on my system. I can't work with live midi without losing my sanity.
