Yea I saw that and pretty much cried for the man. How the hell could they do something like that. And the man is a staple with Ultra. Shit I remember i took the bus back with him to south beach afterwards a few years ago just talking to the man how he had a blast.

If phase 2 doesnt have the artists to make up for the lack of production and investment in this festival then looks like ill skip it for the first time in like 8 years. I like the festival experience cause of the festival feel and how its different from a club, but have been dissapointed with it since the move from bayfront. Nothing improved with the festival, yet the money they get from it has increased tenfold. Shame. Oh well, still a crap ton more to chose from besides Ultra to make up for it.

I would say EDC is now the leading US festival and rightfully so. Ultra lost ground for not improving.

BT has to be there this year..new album drops on Tuesday. Nothing up on his boards and nothing from him directly about Ultra...but he always ends up there plus they owe it to him from the fail last year.

Yeah, but he wasn't even going to play his set on Saturday and was talked into it, not to mention how he was acting at the Ultra Carry On I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't come. He's not too please with UMF right now.

I dont know about Friday but I seriously doubt that PVD will be playing on Saturday since ATB is on the bill and there is a huge beef between them since the whole Planetlove fiasco.

Well, they played on the same day last year without a problem. Andre only stayed a few hours after his set, and Paul arrived later in the night, so I know they didn't see each other.

Ultra is too big of a venue for him to miss and he knows it. The exposure for the new album would be huge. I will be soing some homework on this one.

That was last year, Planetlove just happened in September 2009. Something happend between Ultra and Planetlove. (There is always 2 sides to every story) but what I heard was that PVD refused to play if ATB went on. So if thats the case and ATB is playing on Sat possibly PVD wouldnt.

Yeah but they've had problems with each other way before Ultra.

I actually think the lineup looks pretty weak so far. It kinda sucks b/c I already bought early bird tickets. But I know once I go (no matter who is spinning) I will enjoy myself b/c I love the atmosphere. I would love it if Laidback Luke, Kaskade, Menno De Jong, Sebastian Leger among others would perform. I wonder who's Carl Cox's friends are going to be this year? Here's hopes for an exciting Phase 2 announcement!!!

I like the positive attitude

I just browsed through some old pictures and fliers, and came across pictures from UMF 2002 and on.. even 2001 and 2000 back in the beach.
Bayfront park really had a cozy feeling wish created a wonderful festival feel. Freak I remember paying 35 bucks for it!
The times Ive been to Bicentennial its just not the same, plain and flat and boring compared to the maze of Bayfront.
I Remember I went Solo the first couple of times I hanged out at the Gatecrasher tent and main stage most of the time.
Im too surprised if PvD is not on the bill even If I wasn't planning on going. He's been the staple and legendary closing act for Ultra since the beginning.
Sucky situation we'll see what happens.
