Pretty soon Facebook will have obnoxiously large glittering images with 'THX 4 TEH ADD' everywhere.

Meh, I'm indifferent. I don't click the ads so they don't really get revenue from for that. It's a free site that I use on a minimal basis, and I'm at their mercy to change the layout as they see fit.
I don't hate the new layout, but they only got around to changing mine yesterday so I haven't really dealt with it. I also don't like it as much as earlier generations (the one before the last one was good, then they fucked with it slightly, now this).
I really don't see the point in the constant changes though. I'm not sure what the goal is. More ad visibility? More similarities to Twitter / Google Buzz?
If it was a paid subscription site, I would understand some of the outrage if they didn't necessarily consult their users first. But hey, does a grocery store consult the shoppers when they change the layout? no. You still need groceries so you still go there and learn the new layout.

To be honest, I prefer this new layout to the one they were using before. Feels more streamlined.
