Here's some Dj's/producers to look out for:

BT
Christopher Lawrence
D:Fuse
Sandra Collins
George Acosta
DJ Micro

But I must sat it's Christopher Lawrence who first comes tom ind when I think USA and tracne. Go check out his latest mix cd 'Around the World'. Very nice and pounding trance from start to finish.

I'm pretty sure Joshua Ryan (producer of "Pistolwhip") is American so that's one for the states.

In terms of American trance as a whole I don't care for the whole progressive scene here as championed by Christopher Lawrence, Sandra Collins, Jimmy Van M, etc. its not a matter of better or worse, simply taste.

Other than that the only real vestige of homebred trance is the hard/progressive type which George Acosta plays.

European trance definately over rules American trance. But then there are acceptions, like BT (he's amazing), George Acosta and Aquanuts. I can't stomach DJ Micro.

Also very pase...

Anyways...does it really matter where the music comes from?
This is just like my recent poll about vocals or dubs.
The conclusion so far is that people don't care if there's vocals or not as long as it's a good tune.
The fact that it's Make in America really doesn't mean anything to me.
If it's good, it's good.

this has to be the funniest thing i've ever heard!! I hope i'm not considered a trader, but i gotta say that i don't listen to a lot of american shit cause i don't like it. those of you out there that do, please don't suggest christopher lawerence to people, i think he is the problem, giving us a bad name. so many have already said that america= progressive and that is pretty true. josh gabriel is the man in trance right now, and not just out of americans. i think that its funny some of the reactions people have given like they know about the american way of life. a whole lotta stereotypes flying around, but this one is my favorite. to be perfectly honest i don't give a fuck about europeans. OH ICEBREAKER......PLEEEAAASSSEEE LLLOOOOVVVEEEE MMMEEEE!!!!!! i can't live if you don't. as for now, in general american shit sucks, but someday it will become the standard as america always does. i mean saying all these things about america is like me thinking you euro's sit around and drink tea all day. you do that right?

Thank you Floorfiller, you're the only other person in this forum to recognize the main American trancer right now, definitely not christopher lawrence (who spins boring prog), but JOSH GABRIEL , one of the hottest items right now, from SAN FRANCISCO PEOPLE, SAN FRANCISCO USA

its funny when sittin in front of my pc I usually am listening to alot of euro stuff

but at a rave, all of the big euro djs I've seen have been disappointments, PVD was kinda boring, and oakenfold just plain sucked, while on the other hand ALL of my fav Djs to see live are from north america, I think anyone who has seen a Donalde Glaude show can vouche for how hard he throws it down, he is easily the best Dj to see live, chris lawrence prolly has spun the two best sets I've seen musically, and go to the DnB room while Diesel Boy or AK1200 is spinning, I'd trade a good live Dj for one that can produce a good studio track anyday
