Those graphs illustrate the amount of money Obama himself has committed to spending. And, how can a portion of Medicare become the most expensive thing ever? Wouldn't Medicare itself be more expensive than an individual piece of it? Anyway that discussion you posted is all based on the premise that the prescription drug benefit will go on forever as is. In reality, it's schduled for cuts next year and the tax deduction for it is eliminated in 2013. I'm not well versed on Medicare (who is?), but from what I understand that price tag reflects gross costs only, and doesn't take into account the income Medicare will collect from premiums paid by beneficiaries or payments from states for beneficiaries eligible for both Medicare and Medicaid.

Why is it so widely accepted that the prevailing mentality can only be "our side vs. their side", and that so few are willing to consider that it just might be "government vs. the people"?
Despite the perceived wranglings of Dems vs. Reps which most people tend to accept de facto, could there be grounds for even the slightest consideration that a lot of these people who are seen as being opponents might possibly be shaking hands with each other behind closed doors?
Far fetched, maybe, but how about the possibility that the whole terrorist car bomb ordeal was fabricated, simply to keep people suspicious and in perpetual fear of "the other guy"?

You are an idiot. Private industry added the chemicals to industrial and medical alcohols to avoid them being taxed as spirits (or out right banned). This is common practice all over the world. Soldiers in vietnam during the war buying hooch would often be blinded from improperly made alchohol. The article even states that this still happens around the world today.
Us vs. Them and Us vs. The Gubbymint is the exact same thing. Government serves a purpose and I'd rather back the closest thing to my interests than go for all out anarchy and total "freedom" like the tea party wants (where they'd just get ass-raped by whoever gets total control in the void).
