Yeah you would THINK that since they played college, they knew the rules but for some reason, that doesn't happen
In the NBA there is basically no travel violation. Iverson gets away with so much crap it's not even funny. That is the biggest the biggest problem that I have with the NBA. To me, this lack of basic 'travelling' enforcement rules the game. There are a lot of other differences like fouls and such but you get the picture.
The NBA is pure show. I can't believe that people watch it, then when I'm reffing basketball, say to me, "Well Ref, Shaq got to do this...."
University ball is better because it's better coached, the players for the most part play as a team and the goal is the win the championshop. 90% of the players in the NBA play as an individual. They don't play for the championship, they play for endorsments.
Oh yeah, I have played basketball for about 10 years now and reffed for more than 3. Believe me when I say that I have a pretty good understanding of the rules. You should refferee. It's good money(i get 30 bucks a game for high school) and it gives you more appreciation for them game
