SMITTEN you are! haha |
lol I was smitten last summer. I think that's safely been surpassed...
Sooo...my review (which is being written from heaven obviously, considering both Friay and Saturday nights). Absolutely amazing night. Finally got there early enough to catch most of Angelo's set (see, I promised I would next time!! ) and he was killer. ALWAYS plays fantastic tunes, a good mix of new and old (and remixed old!! ). Kyau & Albert were <3OMG<3. The 4 hours (or just under) went by WAY too fast. So many incredible tunes. I was absolutely overflowing with happiness and euphoria all night. Great mixing, great energy, great crowd interaction. These guys are made to amaze. However, this to be honest was not the best I've seen them, but in no way does this mean they were bad. I just found the set flow not quite as up to par as usual, considering the ridiculous standards they've created with their past sets. My main problem track-wise was hearing What the Fuck in the second half of their set (actually in their set at all). It didn't quite match with the rest of their set. But THANK YOU for not playing Lonely Girl. This track is unnecessary for me every single time it is played. Loved hearing Once in a Life for the first time in a club. Excellent production.
Oh, and the award for most unique and entertaining dance moves while spinning goes YET AGAIN to Ralph Kyau. I don't know where he comes up with this stuff, but it's been different everytime I've seen them (and equally as amazing).
Following K&A was yet MORE killer tracks from Kris. Starting with Arctic Monkeys, it was pretty much a mini set dedicated to Sander. Mr. Morton, you seriously rock! It's always nice to end the night out with a BANG!
Honourable mention goes to both Knox and Sarah for their surprise appearances. Best ever.
Thanks Pure Trance boys and Vola, yet another success for a fun party!! Finally K&A come here to us, instead of me and Negar having to plan mini-trips everywhere else BUT Toronto. Not that I mind the mini-trips, they'd still happen even if K&A were booked in Toronto every year.
WHAT IS MY LIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIFE??!!!!
