I just want to make my point and share some history for equipment needed to make Trance!
I never had a 303, but Rebirth was my 1st music software and some of the songs that came out of Rebirth got me in love with that BITCH TB-303!

But Richie wasnt joking. He actually think u need a 303 to make dance music because its part of the "evolution of edm".
You could have advised him to get Reaper and those free VSTs then. Caus that actually a good advice as it costs nothing.
And as u use, the Rebirth refill in Reason will cover any 303, 808, 909 needs ever. That is also a good advice.
never said anything remotely close. You claimed it was a useless synth. I retorted that it pretty much invented dance. Not so useless hmm ?

So you ARE Richie!
Did the beers finally wear off then? Or is oscars season just a little too far away for you to start preening?
Processing a highly structured and complex pattern of sensory input as a unified percept of "music" is probably one of the most elaborate features of the human brain.....understanding how music is perceived and how it may elicit intense sensations is far from being understood.

I have it, but haven't posted it in the 'useless gear' thread yet because I used it last night. You need to empty your wallet for some proper massive deep tunes that people will dig. Nothing will top this piece of kit.
If less is more think about how much more more would be.

He's just saying that you calling a synth useless just because it's outdated is an insult to its importance when it was new, he's not advocating that anyone goes out and buys one because it's essential to making any kind of dance music ever.
