I plan on moving down to St. Thomas in November, and saw some prices on TV's down there, very disgusting...now im trying to figure out how to get a TV down there.

1080p, IPS (In-Plane Switching) Panel (178 Degree viewing angles & very accurate color reproduction).

Just bought one of these myself recently. Go have a look at this TV in store, then look at it from the right and the left. The picture should stay as clear as if you're looking at it from straight on. Compare with some other TV's on display and if you see their colors starting to wash out, you'll know that they don't have IPS panels in those TVs.

There's a similar 720p model for $400.

The only gripe I have about this TV is that the audio is somewhat lack-luster (It's not bad, it's just not great), so if you're looking for a TV that has good sound reproduction on it's own, then you may want to look elsewhere.

where does it say about the IPS panel??? Where do you get this info? I'm always looking for the better panels out there, but it's almost impossible to know which screen has which panel.

Usually you can tell when the manufacturer gives the viewing angles. Anything that says 178 Degree viewing angle left/right has to be an IPS panel (unless they want to get caught for false advertising). Neither a TN nor a VA panel will be able to match those angles.

Most manufacturers won't reveal the panel used in their tech specs, so it's up to the consumer to do the added research on the model before deciding on the purchase. However, on this particular TV, Panasonic touts the IPS panel on their tech specs for it:
