But it really isn't. Ignore for a minute that I was just posting an inflammatory remark.
Forcing children to make decisions based on a make-believe creature in the sky can be extremely damaging to them. I was brought up in a christian home and while most kids can actually smell through the bullshit and go on to live normal, healthy lives... Many religious kids are brought up to become complete screw-ups. Socially awkward, completely incapable of independent thought and rational thinking, and missed opportunities in life that could have led to greener pastures if only that old man behind the pulpit hadn't said it was a ticket to hell.
I'm all for talking about morality and making wise decisions. I'm not even completely against the idea that a supreme creator actually exists. But go watch a few clips from "Bible Camp" (I'll bet you already have), and tell me that some of those kids aren't being permanently damaged by those types of rallies. I've BEEN AT those rallies as a child, and I can tell you, with confidence, that they aren't just innocent ramblings by a poor misinformed woman who wants to help the children. It's damaging, and it's really unfortunate that children have to be subjected to that type of crap during the time of their lives that they are most impressionable.

Bullshit.
Those forces combine to create a soaking, boiling mudstorm on Valentine's Day.
