Had a scholarship for both my undergrad and masters. It didn't cost me a penny. And I'm working in the industry I trained for making a living doing what I love. How is that wasted ? IN fact i'm in the industry you so desperately want to break into lol. Remember that thread ? Oh Kismet7 you are priceless!

Allllllls I gotta say is that if I has a masters degreeez in any respectable field of study...I aint gonna be on some production forum talking like a half assed idiot. I'd be a professsional at the thing I got a masters in. So what went wrong? Studios gigs dont pay much these days...and I know you're not going to pull out "I did so and so big shots album" on us now. And hey I did'nt bring up the whole education thing, you did...and most people I know with a Master's degree are quite mature and respectable...something I cant say about ya. So even if you do have a masters degree...my response is...reallllly?

I am a professional. so is djRann. What exactly is your point. And I am respectable to people that deserve my respect. You don't. I also find it funny that you claim to know people with master degrees like it is uncommon.

DJRann comes off as a professional...even though we disagree on some things...you...not so much.

Anyhow forget all this nonsense...back to what we were taking about.

Using this chart you know well...is a -20dbfs 4khz sound played in 4/4 tempo at 120bpm more damaging to the ear than a -7dbfs kick in which most of its amplitude is in the 40hz-400hz range. What is damaging your ear more? Give us something practical.

djRann is much more well tempered and a little wiser as he is older. My specialty is composition. I'm paid to be creative and people that are creative tend to be a little out there. So yes, I am out there, a little immature and quite neurotic. I still don't see your point. You should consider it a blessing that someone of my stature even acknowledges your stupid asinine posts. Chime in on any theory thread if you want to see me talk shop.

and your question is meaningless as dBfs gives absolutely no indication of actual energy being produced. The curve does change depending on the actual spl dB level.

Look at that...an honest post...that fizzled at the end. If you're neurotic i'll leave you alone.

Though I do have to admit, I like a little struggle in the form of debate...I like to embelish some form of struggle because its quite the musical aphrodisiac. Which weirdly helps me make some of my music, one form of inspiration that works for me somehow. I guess Swamper will deserve a random check some day.

MrJiveBoJingles, do you have an AC in your car? I don't, and during the already-gone finnish indian summer, I used to drive windows open. As I'm driving in the left seat of my car, as do you I suppose, the wind really hit my ear. It was the noise from the wind, and the breeze from the wind. It got infected, and I couldn't hear properly with it. I felt a slight pressure and heard everything a bit muddy. Clean your ears and progressively start listening to music quieter.
Driving your car you might jack the volume up, way up, because of the tire noise that makes it's way into your car and your ears, eventually masking the lower frequencies. Well, yeah.
