recreating a midi is not that hard but needs a lot of time and converting it into the DAW is a pain in the ass :S

Guys, come on!!!! micro DJ'ing with stems/wav files is not producing.... MFB: I suggest you just provide a root key# and mandatory progressions within 16 measures and the rest is up to the producer. if people just want to juggle with pre-arranged rifs, go back to kindergarten and play with MAGIX Musicmaker or something.....

i find it very productive and good practice to recreate the midi's , i spent the last Friday and Saturday recreating a 16 bars melody , it's long process , but good practice for your ears

the midis will just be very general and not really in a trance setting. It won't do you much good to just plug it in as it just won't work. Thats why the remix part is stressed. You are taking whatever part of the melody or chord progression you like as they will all be pretty long and just use what you want whether it be 1 key interval or the entire thing.

Some examples of melodies I have done in the past. THese are almost a decade old so what I provide will be much more interesting and unique but it will give you an idea of my competency.
