Never really considered Ricardo a minimal-only DJ, at least not in the ploddy-plink-plonk type stuff. He mixes in good bits of house / classics / techno also. Recall reading an interview from him complaining about 'DJs playing nothing but minimal, it gets too boring - you need to play some House to get girls onto the dance-floor.' (or something to that affect).
I like his sets where he plays some obscure/unexpected/weird stuff, when he's in 'playing the hits' mode, not nearly as interesting.
