would you mind telling billy that i just burned a copy of my friend's win2k on a cd, installed it, and i hate him for being such a monopolist that still not enough companies support linux?

and don't you go saying that only geeks use linux. it's one fine piece of OS which is somewhat easy to use (unless you need shit like aol to tell you what steps you have to take to go surfing)

the only reason i'm not using linus is driver support. however, some companies already realized that linux is spreading and that they need to release linux drivers too. so in the near future, for currently they are working on it, when my USB drive, USB scrolling 5-button mouse, and IBM rapid-access keyboard are fully compatible with linux, i'm gonna be switching.

too bad i'm not gonna be able to use all those neat things like zonealarm, gozilla, etc., because those companies are MONOPOLIZED by windows....

ok you sound like your the closest thing TA has to Bill Gates, you said he could track us down to find out if we had a legit copy of xp, but does he really want to sue our arse!? i mean would it be worth it for Microsoft to do that and make its products REALLY uncrackable. cause when you think about it we're the reason for the monoplisation (is that even a word) of his company, because most people get Microsoft products for free or cheaply (YOU) and it is therefore the most dominate OS, everyone creates applications for them and don't bother with others like linux. So if he 'fixed the problem'of hacking and made it unhackable, meterforically speaking, than they'd lose big bucks... yeah i think im starting to answer my question now.

By the way, im a loyal windows guy but i don't think linux sucks, i think its human nature for people to think that if they don't pay for a product then it can't be good, and this is exactly whats effecting them from making linux a os that even big companys buy. Maybe they should do what Bill Gates does, put a big price tag on the product so people go "OOO, it must be good" make it really easy to crack so they can get it easily, then everyone will be making stuff for linux and we can have some REAL competion.

And you can prays Windows all you want, but you can't ignore the fact that they're overpriced and unstabel as hell.
Agreed that XP and 2000 are stable but they're now where near linux or unix.

I was being sarcastic saying people should buy linux ( actually they should like that it could become better ! quicker! )
I used to be subscribed to infomagic or whatever the name is of that place that sends all the releases every couple months or so ..

The reason why Microsoft products as a WHOLE will never ( maybe the future will change that ) be stable .... why do I allow myself to say that ?
cause they are in it for the money , they release the software before it's even been tested completely ! they promise release dates and they'll almost go by them, hence they release the software not "finished"

(And don't you uber-geeks start getting Linux on my ass because I'm talking about the vast populace and not the niche geek community)

RIGHT ON SWAMP!

C'mon, i mean these guys create this AMaZING software, and they cant even figure out how do what i said. nope, i'm not buying that.... sounds too fishy

Well this is how you do it... I have a 'borrowed version' of XP on my comp and they give you a total of 30 days er something like that to register with microsoft, by doing that (which is also manditory, or your system wont let you back on) they know your isp,and all that other good crap you had to fill out in the required parts. thus they know if your version is purchaced or not. the key though is the 25 number code you have to enter to make sure its leagal.

Now i dont know why they dont do something about stopping this problem, but like fly said there is ALWAYS an insider. now i look back on everything i just wrote and i dont know the pure point behind all that *sigh* its 4 in the morning. give me a break lol, and sorry for all the SP errors.
