well you want two for stereo anyway.

the behringer are 249 x 205 x 372 mm, so quite abit smaller, and half the price as said. but the sound is probably not as good as the electrovoice! you should have two for stereo anyway and if u have space and the money is ok just keep the EV. they sound probably awesome.

I have a pair of the old A7s set on Auralex Isopads and the sound is fantastic. really good response on the low end even at low volumes. They are around $700 each, depending where you live.

Firstly, yes it is the wrong forum, unless you want DJ or PA speakers.

Secondly, I have the JBL lSR2325p's and love them. Best monitors under $500 per pair. Period.

I like the adams for clarity but all of them suffer from being waaaaay to bright IMO. A/B them against any other decent monitors and you'll see what I mean.

I want to upgrade my tr6's with something that has more impact and low distortion. The tr6 has 6.5 inch woofer and i think im gonna need is an 8 inch, looking more towards Yamaha HS80M or get loud speakers like the electro voice or JBL.

The yamaha are really good I have them.


The EV are very loud those i use just for DJ.

this is exactly it.

you dont want monitors for djeing, u want PA.
while if you are producing you want monitors, not PA.

djeing: PA
producing: monitors

not that hard.

ortofonchild: u want PA because you are a dj, like the behringers i posted, their like 300 or something. please do not get the yamahas for djeing.

if you want something in the middle (that covers both applications) you can look at high end hifi, but that would cost you alot more.

And as previously mentioned, if you want to do both, just buy a sub to go with your studio monitors. Keep two sets of cables - plug the sub in when you want to DJ, route to just the monitors when you want to produce.

i dont agree. monitors are really agitating and will wear you ears out pretty fast compared to a nice and warm sounding PA. espesially at higher volumes. Monitors have focused midrange which is where human ear is most sensitive, but what you want when djeing is bass. then u turn it up and the vocals is screaming at you. monitors are not for djeing unless you play at low volume imo. People seems to misunderstand what monitors really are. Theres a Reason why studios have both small monitors and large mains. The mains are only there to impress clients and to have fun/understanding how the track will sound on a big system - PA.

they seem to be sold in pairs with a stereo amp in only one of the speakers and a link to the next one which is kind of odd imo. other that that i have no idea how they sound.
