Not saying the thread title is trying to make a malicious statement about all Mormons, but I don't understand why videos with titles like this exist. Are people trying to make blanket statement about large groups of people based on one member making a mistake? The world is full people people like this woman who do stupid things.

There are much more consistent, rational and reasonable punishments than making the kid eat hot sauce and freezing him in a shower while loudly berating him for 3 minutes straight. An episode like that can be extremely psychologically traumatizing to a child.

That said, I don't find the punishment in the video to be extremely "abusive", and we don't get to see the video of later on, when mommy reminds the kid that she loves him very much, and hates acting like a troll, and tucks him into bed and reads him a story from the Mormon Bible to put his mind at ease as he drifts off to sleep.

Haha indeed- I get the psychological effect, and I dont want to condone abuse, but isnt that the whole point of punishment, to an extent?
