i have (thankfully) never been particulary hairy (my arse is like stu's noggin). so its an electric razor for me.

though im pissed off. i dropped it a couple weeks ago, so the long hair trimmer bit is broken. so now i have to shave regularly, coz if it gets too long i'll have to buy a new razor haha.

Upon the closest shave, it always leaves you with a very small amount of stubble on your head, which (again), I prefer. So yeah, very close, but depending upon how you understand 'shaved,' it may not necessarily shave your head (not like yours, at least). But it's very quick, and is simply a matter of taking the clippers off, and adjusting it to the lowest possible setting.

also i don't use any aftershave at all.

When I was in the Marines my whole paycheck was dedicated to buying razors, it sucked.

I used Gillette Fusion Power shit, was the only razor that didn't carve my hairy ass up.

Now that I don't need a close shave I got this cheap Wahl beard trimmer that leaves me with a little stubble. I also use it to shave my head. Come to think of it, this piece of crap works really well and I've had it almost 2 years.



I use the Norelco Bodygroom to shave my ass and trim my pubes into a star.

I agree prep is one of the most important part of shaving especially if you have coarse hair. Take the time to properly hydrate your hair you'll get a closer shave with less irritation. My favorite is Tabac shaving soap, I'll never be able to go back to goo in a can.
