Especially when 75% of American youth 17-24 are unable to join the military (because of health, criminal record, no high school, or other reason), and of those 25% that can join, 23% of those can not even pass placement exams to put them in any branch of the military.

The idea that someone's sexual preference will affect his ability to fight in the military is BS.

However, homosexuals are still barred from the military under the UCMJ if I'm not mistaken.
