The south African accent is cool, cos its a mix of Dutch and Australian (I find)

As u can tell, I like the Dutch!

To cut it short, most Foreigners can't understand a bloody word you Northerners are saying

I find this is the case EVERYWHERE I GO!

e.g at Love Parade, If alex (Evil_Bastard) spoke normally, i.e with his Geordie accent and slang, most of the Germans and Dutch couldn't really understand him. Only when he spoke really slowly and clearly could they vaguely interpret what he was on about.

At Dancevalley, me and Nat met up with these 3 peeps from Middlesbrough, and she constantly agreed with everything they said etc, but when she had a spare mo, she siad, I can't understand half of what they are saying! LOL CAn't blame her tho! hehe

It was even pointed out in Germany by these blokes that they could easily understand me, but were having difficulty understanding alex.

Basically a clean London accent is what most Europeans/Americans study/understand/listen too in everyday media. By clean I don't mean people who are fucking pikeys who live on rundown estates, eating hard drugs for breakfast and running around in loincloths. (j/k with last comment lol)

I have a clean Lonodn accent and eveybody understands me perfectly, until I mumble, or come out with "ARSE, I LOST MY SODDING KEYS AT HOME, YA FUCKIN BUGGER, INNIT"

And on the subkject of accents, the worst accent to constantly listen to is the sorority/LA accent on women. ITS SOO BLOODY WHINEY!

And the best accent is most definately english with a Dutch accent, as Josta will tell you

And Ian (Redeye) has the best English accent ever, trust me!

You're right about evil bastard, but once I got the hang of his special language it wasnt any problem understanding him.

Can someone please give a list of all the British accents there is.

I will think of the ones I know

Cockney - London

Brummie - Birmingham

Manc - Manchester

Geordie - Newcastle

West Country - Cornwall way all the way to Bristol (farmer accent).

Black Country - Thicker stronger Brummie accent areas beyond Brum.

Glasweigen - Glasgow very rough and gruff sounding Scottish accent

Scouser - Liverpool

South Coast - Hampshire way

Eastern - Norfolk, Suffolk, and Cambridge, farmer accent with cockney sound.

Essex - Essex Very Very Very broad accent simular to Cockney.

Yorkshire - Very broad and Northern

Smoggie - Middlesborough teeside accent like geordie mixed with yorkshire. (Stes accent)

Edingborough - posh sounding Scottish accent to me.

Nottinghamshire - Nottinghamshire, Midlands accent with a Northern hint.

Northern Irish - I don't count it as British but most linguists will, theres many different accents, they sound like very broad and stressed Irish accents.

Northamptonian - A mix of just about every accent, mainly cockney and midlands crossed togther.

theres so many more accents some other British person can probably get the rest.
