oufff, trust me i agree. i saw all 4 in berlin at various venues: club der visionaire, panorama bar, watergate, etc...i'd pay a pretty penny to see all 4 at stereo for a visionquest night. wouuuu that would be a jacking party.
but that's me & my tastes generally don't coincide with what makes money in this damn city. but realistically & from a booker's point of view, i think the fee for all 4 guys + 4 (likely) first class flights + 4 (likely) 4/5-star hotel rooms...ca devient cher en crisse pour un booking qui n'a malheureusement pas assez de "pull" dans cette ville de merde. i bet the club who would dare to take that kind of risk would barely break even, if at all.
sadly, we are not in berlin, london or ibiza where the rationale and capability behind bookings is oh-so different. also, we don't have the luxury of factoring alcohol sales into the equation (when it comes to afterhours). it gets me every time when i see an artist's reaction to the no booze policy in afterhours in this city. they don't understand how afterhours survive.
that being said, lee curtiss' set at panorama bar in berlin really changed my life. what a revelation <3

Afterhours is a state of mind, but significantly, it's more a state of 'I don't mind'. A determined continuation, contentment and relief that 'it ain't over yet!' An injection of music into attitude and occasion which creates an emotional wave forth that isolates globally, a ringing harmonic, a signal to a like-minded collective that 'we are only us'.
