Graham and I were trying to wrap our heads around that it was the same dj that was playing Lady Gaga just a couple hours prior.
I'm guessing that he is probably required to play Top 40 until 2, 2:30 and then after that he is given more discretion to play what he wants. There's a DJ in Windsor who's first passion is EDM, but there's more opportunities to make money playing Top 40 in Windsor so he ends up playing Top 40 and throws in dance music when he can.

Has he ever done a solo set in Toronto?
yes. I saw him solo at Mod Club years ago. Solo, I found him really disappointing tbh.
vid. from then. I thought it would be dated, so I could tell you when that was, but it's not. Sorry

There was actually some proper music upstairs after about 3. I walked up to Max Bett - Mad Clinic (link) and it continued on from there. Graham and I were trying to wrap our heads around that it was the same dj that was playing Lady Gaga just a couple hours prior.
Haha yeah I went upstairs to look for someone and I was shocked and surprised. I actually went up to the DJ and asked him what happened and how come he's playing proper tunes

Nothing, I don't think he knew whether to take it as a compliment or an insult
But I'm guessing he was playing what he really likes to play instead of what people want him to play
