He played as I expected...dark, dirty & chuggy. My crew had a blast!

loved the hard tech prog... I was worried he'd play too similar to his BNB set (more melodic, slower) but was pleasently surprised when i heard those kick drums

Hernan did play techno tracks but it was not hard techno...
He did play a surprisingly driving set. He started with 2 hours of some groovy prog house that was not too melodic and not too deep. I thought it was a bit too linear but I didn't expect him to switch gears and start playing techno after.
So, at around 6:30, and for about the next 2 hours, he did play some amazing techno tracks. The progression from the prog house to the techno was nicely executed and the crowd enjoyed it.
Then, he played a few melodic prog tracks to end his set smoothly.
The programming was awesome and I must admit he did deliver a set that was unexpected.
Here are some of the tracks I heard in his set:
- Hernan Cattaneo & Soundexile - Teleport (King Unique Remix)
- Ioan Gamboa - Spiral (Hernan Cattaneo & Soundexile Remix)
- Muzarco - Prophet On Jupiter (Guy J Remix)
- Ricky Ryan & Ken Dust - Pop Corner (Christian Cambas Remix)
- Rozzo - Blue (Original Mix)
- Sian vs Psycatron - Vertigo Of The Modern (Original Mix)
- Sian vs Psycatron - Vertigo Of The Modern (Psycatron Remix)
- Stephan Bodzin & Marc Romboy - Phobos (Pan-Pot Remix)
- Electric Rescue - Deviant Groove
- Electric Rescue - Dielamoussik
He also played a new remix of the classic Space Manoeuvres' track - Stage One.

now that was a party. probably one of my best nights ever at circus. place was packed. it was a young crowd, a lot didn't even know who hernan was, but it didn't matter, the vibe was fantastic, everyone was friendly and smiling.
hernan ripped the place apart. it was so refreshing to hear that kind of sound. it's not something you hear often in this city and hernan has such a unique style. he really pounded that place.
my only complaint was the sound, but that should all be fixed shortly with the new soundsystem (i hope).
ill never get over seeing him at creamfields... a lil sad i didnt see him either time he's been in the city over the last 6 months but hey... now that his name is growing again here guess he'll be back a lot more!

what a pull that dj has, really sad that techno can't pull even 1/3 of that. Would be nice to see a crowd like that for techno.
As for the music, it was good, not what I listen to at the moment, but the crowd was diggin it and it was groovy.

He does have quite a pull, still not forget it was a Saturday. So it's a winning combination.
Techno is usually on Fridays, way more difficult to gather as much people.

It doesn't hurt that he played Black & Blue like 4 months ago.. that definitely played a part in the high attendance I'm sure.
