wow, i pretty much disagree with most of what you said about saturday, lol.
i actually thought ferrer was terrible. some of the tracks he played were good (some were downright awful), but his set had almost no direction. i had no idea what he was trying to do. it was all over the place. and the rock the casbah song pretty much stopped me dead in my tracks. i looked around and it seemed like most of the club wasn't down either.
TMB on the other hand... wow. these guys are fucking good. they really know what they're doing. great set, great flow, nice subtleties, great drops, quality tracks.
and i saw a bunch of hotties that night.
back to the friday night. i didn't go, but inquired about your set matt, and i heard you were solid, so good job on that! |
Ferrer got the crowd into it much more then TMB ever did, I've never seen so many hands in the air at Stereo. I liked his song selection, I dunno.. it seemed like as soon as I was fed up of a sound, Ferrer switched it up and kept it interesting. Maybe it's cuz I was with a bunch of women and I was feeding off of their energy, loved his set. I love the fact that he played Rock the Casbah, shows guts. Not that I'd ever play it, I don't have it on my computer or anything but it was good clean fun.
I like the TMB sound, but it was too much boom boom. Second time I see them and I find their sets don't evolve much at all, I found they were at their best from 9am onward. Nice percussive techy house with deep basslines, I was getting bored before that.. left at 10am, but was loving it.
If you thought the girls were hot on saturday, go see Carlo Lio next time he spins at Stereo you'll shit yourself. It was unbelievable.
Anyways, sorry to highjack the thread.
