Yeah i think you would still be more interested in the lap dance, especially if it came with a good 4th quarter report, regardless it would be innaporpriate behaviour on her behalf. Anyways my argument here is that, for alot of these women, the reason why they wear the hijab is for equality. I personally don't agree with it but that is their reasoning. Although i made an extreme example, the appropriateness of dress does leave an impression of a person's demeanor. Alot of these women are simply amplifying that notion into saying they do not want to be judged by their looks at all, and instead want to be judged by their capabilities.

This of course reverts back to the religious ideology to which the premise of the hijab is perhaps a deterent from violating one of the ten commandments (coveting ones wives n shit).

So Hijab would be analogous to a kepa (as in a preferred head dress), my only grime would be the "nikab" and how it conflicts with the general laws of society. In this case it should be banned.

If you are going to restrict religious atire from groups with no conflict with laws, might as well do them all equally. That would go for the sikhs, jews, muslims christians (if they have any) etc.

I can understand requiring a woman wearing a niqab to reveal her face when getting government services (such as health care, or flying etc.). I totally agree with that because seeing the face is crucial to quick and easy identification, and in a society where we need to do that from time to time, it isn't unreasonable to expect them to comply.

But to tell them that they can't wear it at all, even just walking down the street to get some groceries, is total bullshit imo.

It's a violation of their rights, and I hope they fight it and get the law rescinded.

I seriously woudnt. Not only because i find lapdances pointless but because business is one of the things i take seriously. There is a time for fun and games and that time is after the work for the day is done. But diring the business hours i woudnt care if a hot coworker strode into my office naked, she can wait, work cant.

And i would love to see some figures as to why they actualy wear it, because i would argue that more of them wear it because of their upbringing or because they think that they have to, and some because they actually have to under penalty of bodily harm or death. Even in the western world im not even mentioning the middle east.

Also, the argument that they have to wear something to appear equal means that they are not in fact equal.

Well the koran instructs women and men both to dress modestly, yet somehow that part about the men is usually forgotten but god forbid a woman should forget about it. So its more of a case of institutionalised repression under the cloak of morality.

If i see someone with a covered face entering a store (even if they are only there to buy groceries) im assuming they are there to rob a place so im calling the police or sneak behind them to punch them out.
