Come on dude, wake up.

Even if it doesn't work, at least we tried and I wont have to keep on wondering...what if??

im just fucking with you.

the bellybutton shit was a joke but the actual advice bout the long distance relationship is real. most of the times that doesn't work. if you're relationship is rock solid then you're good to go.

it all depends on the situation and the couple. but since most are shit and im assuming yours is probably secretly shit and underlying problems then its going to end in the usual 5 months shes deep dickin some dude behind your back.

Was it like that or did you black it out.

Now...i havn't read the advice from other people..and 100 miles is more than what me and my girlfriend have...but i will tell you this:

Me and my girlfriend live 75KMs away (about 50 minutes no traffic).

Not unreasonable..but obviously we don't see each other every day.

Let me say that again:

WE don't see eachother EVERY DAY!

let me put it into context:

I DONT HAVE TO DO STUPID SHIT EVERY DAY

let me say it differently:

I CAN GET DRUNK AND PLAY VIDEO GAMES WITHOUT BEING BOTHERED BY NONSENSE MANY TIMES A WEEK.

let's put it in a different light:

I CAN DO WHAT I WANT 5 out of 7 DAYS a week.

YEAHHh

and it's been 5 years...so it's pretty good. and i love her very much (in case she reads this).

I don't mean to take a shot at you at all, but how old are you?

The OP is only a couple years younger than me (according to his TA profile), and at that age I don't think it would be too much of a stretch to assume he has a stable job/career. If the girl in question is roughly his age, then she most likely has a stable job/career too.

Do you really think that moving in "together as fast as possible to find out whether it works or not, and then break up if it doesn't" is the best idea? Either one, or the other, would likely have to give up their position to move to a different city, and then potentially find a new job. Not a great idea at the best of times, let alone with how the economic climate for jobs is faring, in the US right now.

I don't see the distance between them to be much of an issue at all. Like someone pointed out earlier in the thread, if they see each other 2-3 times a week, they'll likely see each other more than busier people that live closer together.

Basically, Nerologic: Give it a go, you might as well. Hope it works out

Ok, you completely missed my point, good one.

Either party, giving up a stable job to move to a different city, would be a silly thing to do. Forget the economy - Frankly, it would be a silly thing to do anyway, if you weren't sure on how things would go. Right? It could become one job, supporting two people. Not stressful on a relationship at all.

I'm sure this is part of the reason they're doing what they're doing.

Yes, you're right. You definitely shouldn't make an effort, at all, in a relationship.

Is this a serious question??

And I already went for it, I'm actually posting this from her place

A big thing to me is that we are on the same level mentally (shes some what smart) same level in our life and same level physically...well not so much there since I'm a fatass lol

I put a lot of thought into this, I do a lot of random shit in my life, but getting into a relationship isn't one of them.
